What a busy few weeks! The house has been bustling with people coming from across the ocean and we worked as much as we tried to show them a good time. First visit was Odile Fillod, from France, our spiritual godmother, the first creator of the 3D clitoris who was visiting for a conference.
Then its Maeva Badre, from Switzerland, who is doing a Phd on the anatomy and histology of the clitoris. Let’s say that we are doing everything to support her so she can carry her research to term as there are still so many unanswered questions about this organ. With partner in crime Guillaume Cyr we all attended the Association pour l’enseignement de la science et de la technologie au Québec (AESTQ) where we met with colleagues Gabrielle Richard ( GRIS-Montréal) and Béatrice Amyot from Reforme.ca.
And back from this we drove to Kingston, Ontario to visit sexlab at the Queen’s University and had the pleasure to meet with Meredith Chivers, Caroline Pukall and Diane Tomalty who works on the female prostate.
Now I am unpacking the bags and getting ready for the big women entrepreneur gala on Thursday Réseau des Femmes d’affaires du Québec. Fingers crossed, if I win I can do a speech and OMG do I have things to talk about since last week. Remind me to breathe. Remember to roll your shoulders from time to time and look away from the screen. We need all the strength and solidarity we can muster to face what’s coming.
GLAMOROUS UPDATE: THE GALA DRESS HAS BEEN PICKED!
A gorgeous dress gleaned from a clothes swap, flamboyant enough to pair with my usual boots and airy enough to counter the thermal regulation issues associated with perimenopause.
