Spoiler: it doesn’t look good
This year SEX-ED + had it all! Two Canada Post strikes, Trumpโ election, the defunding of sexual health related projects internationally, tariffs on all Canada-USA trade, the anti LGBTQIA+ wave, austerity politics in Quebecโฆ And all the while life keeps on lifing whether you have space for it or not (currently in France sitting next to a hospital bed).
This is obviously not without impact. Sales have decreased to the point that I did not make enough this year to cover my wage. I paid myself (poorly) with money that was saved from previous years. And there is no more of that. So, Iโll have to find (another) job that will generate the income necessary to pay the rent and put food and healthcare on the table.

No more : keeping up with the scientific literature; attending all the events and webinars related to sexual health; collaborating on research projects ; coordinating meetings ; playing matchmaker between professionals; volunteering on events; translating material and content; exploring the needs of professionals, proofreading material.
Back to the basics : manufacture products and sell them to the people who need them.

This project started with the goal to create the first inclusive, free 3D genital database and I have worked hard to create it. Currently, itโs halfway done. Worse comes to worse, Iโll publish it as is and keep on grinding to find the money to complete it. This unique material must be made available to the public and the professionals, and not stay packed in my basement.

- Point me to grants and funders which could help finance the 3D database. We are not talking about millions here, more like 100,000$, it shouldnโt be that difficult to find
- Hire me. If you have met me you know I am a Jill of all trades. I make a mean coffee, can work leather, bee keep and do cold process soap from scratch. But I can also organize events and conferences, coordinate research project, overview publishing, create academic or practical material, translate, educateโฆ and most importantly I know quite a lot about sexual health, anti-oppressive approaches and patient-empowering practices.
