For someone who lives and works in a basement, I have seen the sun shine in a good many places in the last 12 months. But why the need for such a carbon footprint?
🌵 Reach out. The project is banned or shadow-banned on all social media platforms. It is therefore fundamental to attend conferences and events so that professionals can know about it.
🌵 Collaborations. This project is all about creating material that answer the needs of professionals. So we meet. We talk. We conspire. We make things happen. And some of those things require face to face and skin to skin contact.
🌵 Networking. This word has been overused in a lot of meaningless way. BUT we are maybe 25 in the world actively working on genital anatomies, so it is extremely important we know about what each of us is doing to not replicate but rather build upon the work of one another. Having a foot in the french speaking world and another one in the english speaking world has allowed me to connect different research team and it is fascinating.
There are a lot of teary-eyes moments when you realize you are at the forefront of unexplored scientific fields.
So, thanks to everyone with whom I crossed path this year. I hope we meet again next year. On that note. Remember that all of this is not funded. The only way I can do all this is because I travel cheap, sleep on people’s sofa and eat cheese sandwiches.
But even with this shoestring lifestyle the project was 25,000$ in deficit this year. It means I wont be able to keep up. Wanna help? Point me to founders. Buy the models. Talk about it in your field of practice. This project is necessary and must keep on until I can make it free and available to everyone.
Love and rage. 2025 will for sure need all of it.
