There are so many needs for realistic, below-the-belt anatomical models. Sadly, medical model makers mostly skip those parts. Or stop at birthing models. But people have all the body parts and sometimes those parts need intervention and care. And good care comes with good training. And training requires models.
So, what are we doing? Are we keeping on pretending that there is no need for those types of models? Messages I receive are a proof to the contrary. But one person alone in a workshop can’t make it all. We need funding, designers, people who coordinate the creation of models based on the expressed needs of professionals.
So, model making companies, are you going to close the gap and create the models professionals need? Or are we going to keep on ignoring below-the-belt anatomy and the needs of care professionals and patients alike?
