Recentering human experiences and needs in sexual health care
May 29 in Montreal
To celebrate International Day of Action for Women’s Health, SEX-ED + is organizing a conference on people’s journeys and experiences through sexual health care. As the last three years have not offered us a lot of opportunities to network, the event will be followed by a friendly gathering with drinks and food where participants can discover different projects active on the field of sexual health in the greater Montreal area.
Meet at Centre Saint Pierre, 1212 rue Panet, May 29 at 3 p.m.
Participation
The objective of this event is to pool our findings on the state of sexual health care and to share initiatives that provide solutions to existing problems and which are answering the actual needs of patients. The target audience is practitioners, sexologists, midwives, sexuality educators, researchers and anyone interested in sexual and reproductive health and rights.
The event will be in hybrid mode, in presence in Montreal and online via Zoom. It will be in French with English interpretation on Zoom. People who are more comfortable in English and want to attend can bring their headphones and connect to Zoom on their phones (free wi-fi available). We do not have the budget for LSQ/ASL interpretation. Subtitles will be automatically generated on Zoom.
Registration is mandatory, whether in presence or online. Fees are modulated according to income. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
